What therapy with me actually looks like

My approach to therapy is honest, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I believe that meaningful change comes from understanding yourself while also taking positive steps toward building a life that feels rewarding.

I particularly enjoy working with young adults and individuals navigating substance use disorders, addiction, and recovery. I also connect well with people who are curious, analytical, and interested in exploring the patterns that influence their behaviors.

I don't believe therapy should be one-size-fits-all. Every person brings their own experiences, challenges, and goals into the room, and I tailor our work to meet those individual needs.

My sessions are conversational and can combine practical strategies with deeper self-reflection. I draw from approaches including CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, and other therapeutic techniques to help you build insight and move toward meaningful change.

Through my clinical experience working in addiction and mental health settings, as well as my own lived experience with long-term recovery, I understand that change is rarely a straight line.

My goal is to help you feel supported while also encouraging you to take ownership of your growth and create a life that feels purposeful and fulfilling.

Get to know me beyond the therapy room

Outside of the therapy room, I appreciate the simple moments that allow me to slow down, relax, and enjoy life without overcomplicating things. I believe there's a lot of value in being yourself, finding joy in everyday experiences, and focusing on what makes life feel meaningful.

My favorite way to recharge is…

Hanging out with my dogs, Mamba and Fiona. Sometimes there's nothing better than having some downtime with them, stepping away from the responsibilities of everyday life, and just enjoying the moment.

Something I wish more people knew about therapy is…

That therapy shouldn't just be about making sure things don't get worse. It should also be about helping you build a life that genuinely feels better. Of course, working through challenges and difficult experiences is important, but I believe therapy should go beyond simply managing problems. It's also an opportunity to figure out what makes you happy, what gives your life meaning, and what changes you can make to feel more fulfilled.

If I could give everyone one piece of advice, it would be…

Be you, and let the truth do what it do. At the end of the day, you can't control how everyone else thinks, feels, or responds to you, and trying to do so can be exhausting. What you can control is whether you're being honest with yourself and living in a way that feels true to who you are.
